In the mineral museum in St. Johann, only 10 km away from the Ahria Apartments, you can admire around 1000 individual exhibits on an exhibition area of around 300 m2, which were created around 30 million years ago in the depths of our earth. The unique treasures were searched for and found with great passion – fortunately, otherwise they would have been destroyed by frost and erosion, which would of course be a shame. A special highlight in the mineral museum: the largest smoky quartz in South Tyrol and the most beautiful “Bergkristallgwindl” in the world from the Prettau mine. Also exciting: The video that shows the formation of minerals, how they are searched for and what healing properties they have.
